Ailen Gutiérrez, friend to José Jamil Miranda, serves as the managing director of Jose’s Hands. Her responsibilities revolve around almost every aspect of the organization as well as serving as the right hand to executive director Alex Miranda.

Ms. Gutiérrez is a University of Florida alumni who is currently working in the world of clinical research. She has plans to pursue her master’s degree in physician assistant (PA) studies and ultimately to become the official PA for future Jose’s Hands medical mission trips.

Ms. Gutiérrez is also part of Medical Students in Action Committee board, where she serves as an official translator in Spanish-speaking countries as well as helps in the development of the Community Health Worker (CHW) program in the district of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic.
